Place cards sit at each guest's individual seat to tell them where to sit. If you've assigned specific seats within each table — particularly important for dietary requirements or formal seating plans — place cards are essential. For more relaxed receptions where guests choose their own seat within a table, they're optional but add a polished, considered touch to the table setting.

One per guest — unlike invitations, place cards are ordered per head rather than per household. If you have 80 guests attending your wedding breakfast, you need 80 place cards. We recommend ordering a small number of extras for last-minute additions. Any unneeded extras can be left blank and hand-written on the day.

Both options are available. We can print every guest's name, leave all cards blank for you to write yourself, or provide a mix — some printed and some blank. Simply let us know your preference when we contact you for your wording after ordering.

Yes — we offer a product add-on that allows you to print individual menu choices or a short personalised message on the reverse of each place card. Due to the size of the card, only brief menu choices can be accommodated. The quantity you select for the add-on must match your place card order quantity exactly.

Our place cards measure 90mm x 45mm once folded (90mm x 90mm flat). They are free-standing and do not require a card holder.

Colour changes may be possible on some designs. Text-only designs can generally be colour-edited, while illustrated designs cannot. Get in touch before ordering if you'd like to check whether your chosen design can be adjusted.

Yes — we offer a non-personalised sample pack containing a place card example so you can check the card quality, weight, and finish in person before committing to a full order.

Place cards are one of the last stationery items you'll finalise, as they depend on your confirmed guest list. Most couples order 3–4 weeks before the wedding. Allow time for proofing, printing, and delivery — we recommend allowing up to three weeks in total from ordering to receiving your cards.
